Job Scope of Registered nurse for New Zealand Medical ward:
-Participate in unit activities such as patient allocation, admissions, transfers and discharges.
-Develop treatment plan and updated assessment, standards of care, risk management, patient and family expectations, learning needs, medical management requirements and discharge planning.
-Assist the patient with the activities of daily living, ensuring basic needs of comfort, nutrition and hygiene are met.
– Through observation and assessment, utilising professional initiative, mobilize members of the multi-disciplinary team to met identified patient needs.
